A Japanese builds a Giant Beetle Robot

As usual Japan is always ahead in robot technology!! They are the best at robot building.

This above robot is named as "Kabutom MX-03", was designed and built by an Ibaraki man in his garage over eleven years. The robot comes in at 11m (36 feet) long and weighs fifteen tons.

Its shape looks like a kabuto-mushi (rhinocerous beetle, a favorite design of Japanese toymakers and, uh, candymakers), it can be remote controlled or piloted from the cockpit (visible on the left side), and is capable of carrying passengers inside its shell.(via)
